Never Did I Ever Imagine Making My Living as a Professional Artist

But that is exactly what I have done.

Today is the day I begin my first blog. I hope to take this time and share with you my life as and artist and also some of the things I have learned through the years.

My time spent in college, the subjects studied, and the bare essentials as a young girl in a big city, and so much more.

My formal art education was brief but definitely foundational for a future in art for a lifetime. My hands on artistic interest and development, has to be attributed to the guidance of my mother, as well as the continual encouragement of teachers throughout my life, making me the artist I am today. Next step was the graduation into the world of an artist. It was mostly by trial and error I learned the realities of surviving without smothering the creative process of my imagination.

In my early twenties, I found myself the owner of my very own gallery, art store and teaching facility. With the help of my husband handling the financial end of the business, I became the art instructor, cashier, and local therapeutic councilor for the neighboring housewife’s of Huntington Beach, Ca. I will tell you more about that later. Success or a failure, I attempted almost anything.

So as I start this commitment sharing with you my life, I hope you will enjoy the highlights as I remember them. This will be a journal, sharing some personal memories and some artistic shortcut information to you from a never retired self- made art instructor.
