WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF ARTIST SANDRA BERGERON

THE ARTWORK SHOWN IS A COLLECTION OF SANDRA'S WORK THAT HAS BEEN PAINTED OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS. THE ARTWORK IS A REFLECTION OF THE TIMES AND PLACES IN HER LIFE, INFLUENCED BY A LOVE OF NATURE, FAMILY, AND FAITH.

"I was destined to pursue a career in art. Awarded with three scholarships, I attended the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts.

I continued my studies under the tutelage of John Plummer Ludlum of Tustin, California, who is known for his use of light, and Theodore Lukits of Los Angeles, California, a muralist and portrait artist. Both artist are listed in the Who’s Who in American Art.

Eventually, my husband and I opened the Bergeron Art Center, a working studio and store in Huntington Beach, California. On weekends we exhibited throughout the state at various outdoor events, including the annual two-month, juried, Art-A-Fair Summer Festival, in Laguna Beach. We jokingly called it our "summer camp" -- a time to be with a family of artists who shared common interests.

I was an active member of Art-A-Fair for twenty-one years and on the Board of Directors for four years. I served as the organization's President, as well as held the position of Grounds Manager, with the duties of overseeing the construction and opening logistics for over 150 artists.

During my time at the Art-A-Fair Festival, I acquired an agent who introduced me to the world of licensing. My artwork can now be seen, not only in Galleries, but on many products found in the commercial field, such as puzzles, Leanin’ Tree greeting cards, throw blankets, popcorn tins, needlepoint, and even wallpaper border trims to name a few.

I can’t imagine myself retiring, as there are always subjects to paint and limitless new methods and ways to paint them.

We decided to move to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for its change of seasons and endless diversification of landscapes. I am continually inspired to paint with a new enthusiasm.

In the winter months, I spend most of my time at the easel or volunteering at my church teaching an art class. When summer comes, it’s time to travel, gather reference photographs and plan for future paintings.

Thanks for viewing my site and artwork!" -- Sandra Bergeron
